Product Information
- 3-(Trifluoromethyl)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid
1-Phenyl-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid (1PTCA) is a carboxylic acid derivative that has been shown to reduce blood triglyceride levels in animals. 1PTCA inhibits the activity of diacylglycerol acyltransferase and 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase, which are enzymes involved in the synthesis of triglycerides. This activity leads to reduced plasma triglyceride levels and increased insulin sensitivity. 1PTCA has not been tested in humans, but it has demonstrated safety profiles in animal models. More research is needed to see if this drug can be used for the treatment of diabetes.
