Description

Quinoline-8-sulfonamide is a hydrated compound that is used as a matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor. It has been shown to have anticancer activity and blocks the production of matrix metalloproteinases by binding to the active site of these enzymes. Quinoline-8-sulfonamide also inhibits the activation of toll-like receptors, which are proteins found on cells that play a critical role in an inflammatory response.
