Quinoline-2-carbohydrazide (QNC) is a fluorescence probe that is used to detect the presence of 4-methoxybenzaldehyde in root tissues. It has been shown to be an effective enhancer for the treatment of tuberculosis. QNC is also a quinoline derivative which deactivates viruses and bacteria by reacting with chloride ions.
