Product Information
Quinoline-3-sulfonyl chloride is a disulfonate that has cytotoxic effects on cancer cells. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. Quinoline-3-sulfonyl chloride inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species and stimulates cell death by reacting with cysteine residues in proteins. This compound also suppresses the activity of human cytochrome P450 enzymes, which may be due to its regiospecificity for the Cys residue at position 47. The drug is not active against cisplatin or chlorinated compounds, such as human cytochrome P450 enzymes.
