Quinazolin-4-ylamine is a small molecule with potent antitumor activity. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of colorectal adenocarcinoma cells in vitro and in vivo, as well as epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) protein target. This drug also has significant cytotoxicity against other human cancer cell lines, such as MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells. Quinazolin-4-ylamine selectively inhibits EGFR tyrosine kinase activity in vitro and in humans, but not other protein kinases such as PKA or PKC.
