Description

Quincoridine is a cross-coupled product of two β-unsaturated ketones. It is an enantiopure compound that has been synthesized using a solid catalyst. Quincoridine has shown biological properties, including the ability to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi. This drug also inhibits protein synthesis by attacking amines and nitrogen atoms that are essential for protein production. Quincoridine has been used as an asymmetric synthesis catalyst in β-amino acid synthesis and palladium complexes.
