Description

(11b,16a,17b)-11-Hydroxy-16,17-dimethyl-17-(1-oxopropyl)androsta-1,4-dien-3-one is a biocompatible polymer with a statistically significant toxicity profile. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of Jak1 and may be useful in the treatment of infectious diseases. This polymer has been used in experimental models for the study of infectious diseases like HIV and tuberculosis. The polymer was also found to be an effective inhibitor of benzalkonium chloride-, antibiotic-, and eye disorders; however, it did not show any efficacy against autoimmune diseases or diabetic neuropathy.
