Product Information

Name:
Rehmapicroside
Synonyms:
  • 1-Cyclohexene-1-carboxylicacid, 3-(b-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-2,6,6-trimethyl-,(R)-
Description:

Rehmapicroside is a neuroprotective agent that belongs to the class of iridoid glucosides. It has been shown to have potent anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory effects in animal models. Rehmapicroside is one of the active compounds found in the plant Glycyrrhiza uralensis, or licorice root. It is a liquid chromatography technique for measuring the concentration of iridoid glucosides in food composition. Rehmapicroside has an inhibitory effect on skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. This drug also attenuates allergic reactions by inhibiting histamine release from mast cells and basophils, which are white blood cells that play a role in inflammatory reactions.
