Description:
Chir-124 is a pro-apoptotic protein that belongs to the family of natural compounds. It has been shown to induce apoptosis by binding to lysine residues in proteins and regulating transcriptional regulation. Chir-124 has also been shown to inhibit growth of tumor cells in culture and xenograft mouse models. The pharmacokinetic properties of this drug have been studied in mice, which showed that it has high levels of bioavailability and low clearance rates. These properties make chir-124 an attractive candidate for use during abdominal surgery, where it can be activated by peritoneal exposure to increase the concentration of free drug in the peritoneal cavity.
