Description:
Suc-Gly-Pro-AMC is a polymerase chain inhibitor that inhibits the transcription of RNA. It is a fatty acid that has been shown to inhibit enzyme activities in the cytosol, leading to neuronal death. Suc-Gly-Pro-AMC also inhibits energy metabolism and mitochondrial membrane potential, which leads to neuronal cell death. In addition, this molecule has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis and protease activity in cultured cells.
