Description:

Suc-Leu-Tyr-AMC is a synthetic amino acid that is used in biochemical research to study the proximal tubules of the kidney. It can be used to measure all-trans retinoic acid levels by measuring the amount of fluorescence. Suc-Leu-Tyr-AMC can also be used as a substrate for protease activity assays and to measure serine protease activity. The ability of Suc-Leu-Tyr-AMC to inhibit proteases may lead to therapeutic benefits in diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, where inflammation is caused by an overabundance of enzymes.
