Description

Succinohydrazide is a chemical compound that consists of a hydrazide group and an epoxide group. It is used in the synthesis of other compounds, such as malonic acid and diethyl succinate. Succinohydrazide has been shown to react with malonic acid to form succinic acid. This reaction is site specific and does not occur at any other position on the molecule. Succinohydrazide is also used as an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceutical preparations. It is often used as a precursor for anti-infective drugs, such as antibiotics, antifungals, or antivirals.
