Description:
Salicyloyl phytosphingosine is a fatty acid that is used as a film-forming agent in the production of polymeric films. It has been shown to have antibacterial activity against a variety of bacterial strains and polycarboxylic acids, including daltons with galacturonic acid. Salicyloyl phytosphingosine was found to be effective against growth factor-dependent cells. In vivo tests on mice have revealed the anti-aging effect of salicylic acid and its derivatives, such as salicylic acid and salicyloyl phytosphingosine. This compound also exhibits an anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes.
