Product Information
- Nbd-Aminohexanoic Acid N-Hydroxyl Succinimidyl Ester
- Succinimidyl 6-(N-(7-Nitrobenz-2-Oxa-1,3-Diazol-4-Yl)Amino)Hexanoate
Succinimidyl6-(N-(7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1,3-diazol-4-yl)amino)hexanoate is a synthetic molecule that binds to phospholipid membranes and calcium. It has been shown to disrupt the fluidity of the membrane and induce changes in the distribution of lipids. The interaction between the compound and membranes may be due to hydrophobic interactions or an unlabeled carbohydrate moiety. Succinimidyl6-(N-(7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1,3-diazol-4-yl)amino)hexanoate has been used as a model system for studying the interaction between viruses and host cells, specifically influenza virus binding to erythrocytes. This molecule has also been used as a fluorescent probe for immobilized lectins.
