Sodium isopropylsulfinate is a pharmaceutical preparation that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase-IV. This drug inhibits the catabolism of certain peptides, including dihydroisoquinolines. Sodium isopropylsulfinate has been shown to regulate the levels of macrocyclic compounds and may be used in cancer treatments as it inhibits cell growth in lung cancer cells.
