2-[(2-Hydroxyethyl)octadecylamino]ethyl stearate is a fatty acid amide that is used as a gel permeation chromatography stationary phase. It is also used as an additive with polyester resins to produce resistant polyurethane foams and polyolefins for use in outdoor furniture, automobile parts, and packaging. 2-[(2-Hydroxyethyl)octadecylamino]ethyl stearate has been shown to be biodegradable and stable at metallocene-catalyzed polymerization temperatures. This product also has a low viscosity and high flow rate, which makes it suitable for use in the production of thin films.
