Description

N-Succinimidyl-p-formylbenzoate is a fluorescent probe that is used to detect the presence of active enzymes. It has been shown to react with prostate cancer cells and active enzymes in prostate cancer cell lines. N-Succinimidyl-p-formylbenzoate is also capable of detecting sequences in DNA, RNA, and proteins. This probe has been used in clinical use as an optical imaging agent for prostate cancer tumors and structural analysis for human liver tumors. It has also been shown to have anti-cancer activity against human liver cancer cells when administered in vivo.
