Description

Z-D-Ser-OH is a synthetic amino acid. It is a derivative of the natural amino acid serine which has an additional D-aminoacid in the chain. Z-D-Ser-OH can be used as a supplement for various purposes, such as to help maintain muscle mass and to support healthy immune function. This compound has been shown to have antibacterial properties. The synthesis of this compound starts with the condensation of L-serine and DL-alanine, followed by hydrolysis of the resulting imidazolide, acetylation, and formation of the cyclic peptide.
