Sulphonazo III sodium salt is a soluble inorganic compound. It is a strong oxidizing agent that is used in the manufacture of some coatings, such as chrome yellow and chrome green. The compound can be used to stain carbohydrates for microscopy, which are stable complexes with potassium dichromate. Sulphonazo III sodium salt can form stable complexes with carbon nanotubes and anions, such as chloride. It has been shown to have high concentrations at low pH values and transition metal ions, which may be due to its basic structure. This compound also has particle properties and binds uronic acid molecules.
