Description

Z-L-serine hydrazide is a synthetic molecule with a blood cell stimulating activity. It is an analog of L-serine and has the same function as L-serine in the synthesis of proteins. Z-L-serine hydrazide inhibits the production of TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β in human monocytes, which are cytokines that are important for inflammation. It also has a delayed type hypersensitivity effect on mice, which has been shown to be due to its ability to cause an increase in red blood cells. Z-L serine hydrazide can also inhibit the proliferation of human thymic lymphocytes.
