Description

Span 83 is a glycol ester that is an antimicrobial agent. It has been shown to have clinical properties and histological analysis in the treatment of bowel disease. Span 83 has been shown to have an antibody response in vivo, which may be due to its ability to bind fatty acids and prevent them from binding to the bacterial cell membrane.
