Description:

Sodium Hexafluorostannate (IV) is an experimental model that is insoluble in water and organic solvents. It is used in coatings, such as paint and varnish, as a polymerization initiator. Sodium Hexafluorostannate (IV) can be synthesized by the reaction of hydrochloric acid with metal ions, such as copper or zinc. It has been shown to be an efficient polymerization initiator for polyester resins at acidic pH levels (5). The uptake of this compound by the human body can be determined by titration method in acidic environment.
