Product Information
Silicic Acid Tetrakis(2-Fluoroethyl) Ester is a developer that is used to develop film. The developer reacts with the silver bromide in the film and produces soluble silver bromide, which forms black metallic silver when it comes into contact with the light. Silicic Acid Tetrakis(2-Fluoroethyl) Ester has a linear density of 0.60, a low density of 0.40, and preferentially develops high contrast images. This developer also has a temporary effect and can be removed by washing with water after development. Silicic Acid Tetrakis(2-Fluoroethyl) Ester is most commonly used in conjunction with other developers because its quality is not as reliable as other developers on its own. This developer can be used to develop any type of photographic film, but it is most commonly used for negative films.
