Tetrakis(4-methoxyphenyl)porphine (TMP) is a metalloporphyrin. The methoxy groups on the phenyl ring make it acidic and able to bind to chloride ions. TMP has been shown to be fluorescent in the near infrared region of the spectrum, with a maximum emission wavelength of 632 nm. TMP has also been shown to exhibit electron microscopic properties such as transport properties, kinetic, supramolecular, and electronic interaction constants.
