It can also be used to monitor the circulatory system. 4,5,6,7-Tetrafluoro-3',6'-dihydroxy-spiro[isobenzofuran-1(3H),9'-[9H]xanthen]-3-one is not active against cancer cells or bacteria. 4,5,6,7-Tetrafluoro-3',6'-dihydroxy-spiro-[isobenzofuran]-1(3H),9'-[9H]xanthen]-3-one is also sensitive to pH and will change color from yellow to red
