Description:
1-(2-Trifluoromethylphenyl)-2-nitroethylene (1TFPNE) is a catalyst for the asymmetric synthesis of nitroalkenes and nitroalkanes. 1TFPNE can be used as a chiral reagent to produce enantiomerically pure nitroalkenes and nitroalkanes in high yields. It is also an enantioselective catalyst for the conjugate addition of diethylzinc to alkenes, which allows for the production of enantiopure alcohols.
