Product Information
Tyrosine kinase inhibitors are a class of drugs that inhibit the activity of tyrosine kinases. They can be used to treat hyperproliferative diseases, such as cancer, and inflammatory conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis. One type of tyrosine kinase inhibitor is called an il-2 receptor antagonist. Il-2 receptors are found on T cells and macrophages, which are involved in the immune response. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors bind to the il-2 receptor and block its activation by binding to the enzyme protein tyrosine kinase. This prevents phosphorylation of the receptor's protein subunits and prevents signaling from occurring.
