- 4-(Trifluoromethoxy)anisole
4-(trifluoromethoxy)anisole is a functional group that is used in the sulfonation of organic compounds. Sulfonation occurs when sulfuric acid reacts with an organic compound to produce a sulfonic acid ester and hydrogen sulfate. 4-(trifluoromethoxy)anisole has been shown to be reactive with microextraction, sample preparation, petrochemical, demethylation, and formation rates. It is also found in headspace samples as a fluoroalkyl. The oxidized form of 4-(trifluoromethoxy)anisole can be rationalized by the presence of hydrogen sulfate. The formation rate of 4-(trifluoromethoxy)anisole can be affected by substrate concentration.>>>>
