2-(Trifluoromethoxy)benzoyl Chloride is a compound that is used as an activator in organic synthesis. It has been shown to have an activating effect on the reaction of 2-bromoethanol with pyridazine, and has also been shown to activate the reaction between piperidine and 4-chlorobenzaldehyde. The chemical formula for this compound is C1F3O2CCl. The molecular weight of this compound is 230.06 grams per mole, and it does not exist as a solid at room temperature. This chemical has been shown to inhibit coagulation of blood plasma.
