Product Information

Name:
2,4,5-trifluorobenzenesulfonyl Chloride
Synonyms:
  • 2,4,5-Trifluorobenzenesulfonyl Chloride
Description:

2,4,5-trifluorobenzenesulfonyl Chloride is a voltage-gated sodium channel inhibitor that selectively blocks the Nav1.7 isoform of the voltage-gated sodium channel. It is being developed as a treatment for chronic pain and other neurological disorders. 2,4,5-trifluorobenzenesulfonyl Chloride has been shown to be selective for Nav1.7 in human neuronal cells and can be used to study the function of this protein in vivo. This drug was discovered by minimizing the structural features of known voltage-gated sodium channel inhibitors, which are often toxic to humans due to their high selectivity for Nav1.7 over other isoforms.
