Description

2,2,2-Trifluoroethylamine HCl is a reactive compound that is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. The chemical structure of 2,2,2-trifluoroethylamine HCl consists of an ethyl group attached to a trifluorodiazoethane. It has been shown to be an adrenergic receptor agonist and may have uses in the treatment of congestive heart diseases and cancer. Analysis of 2,2,2-trifluoroethylamine HCl has been performed using gas chromatography with mass spectrometry (GCMS). This analysis revealed that it was composed mainly of hydrochloric acid and hydrogen chloride as well as glyoxal and β-amino acid.
