- 1,3,5-Benzenetricarboxylicacid,triethylester
Triethyl benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylate is an oxadiazole amide with a flow rate of 0.2 cm/s. It has been shown to be active methylene and deionized water. The reaction mechanism is believed to involve metal ion complexes that are generated in the presence of citric acid as an acceptor. Some mesoporous materials have been synthesized using this compound as a template agent. Powder diffraction analysis of these materials revealed that they consisted of molecular ions that were linked by hydrogen bonding. The optical properties of these materials were studied using UV-Vis spectroscopy and it was found that they had a broad absorption spectrum from 300 nm to 900 nm with a peak at 450 nm.
