Description:
4,5,6,7-Tetrahydro-2H-indazole is a heterobicyclic compound that is a pyrazole derivative. It is an antimicrobial agent that inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit. 4,5,6,7-Tetrahydro-2H-indazole has been shown to exhibit bacteriostatic activity and may inhibit cell growth in culture. The drug has also been shown to have a profile of activity against Staphylococcus aureus isolates and other bacteria with Gram-positive cell walls. 4,5,6,7-Tetrahydro-2H-indazole has also been studied for its potential use in Alzheimer’s disease due to its ability to inhibit the expression of inhibitor compounds.
