1,2,4,5-Tetrabromo-3,6-dimethylbenzene is a diphenyl ether that is used as an analytical reagent. 1,2,4,5-Tetrabromo-3,6-dimethylbenzene has low detection limits and can be used for the analysis of dry weight samples. It is also used in wastewater treatment for the removal of trace levels of 1,2,4,-tetrachlorobenzene.
