- 2-Furanacetonitrile, Tetrahydro-
2-(Tetrahydrofuran-2-yl)acetonitrile is a homologated and reversed-phase mobile phase for the liquid chromatographic determination of adapalene in pharmaceutical formulations. The use of acetonitrile as an eluent provides enhanced sensitivity, which is important for the analysis of low levels of adapalene. The calibration curve was linear over the concentration range 0.03-10 μg/mL with an accuracy and precision (relative standard deviation) of less than 3%. Recoveries were between 80% and 115%.
