Product Information
3-((Trimethylsilyl)ethynyl)aniline is a molecule that contains an ethynyl group attached to the aniline ring. It has been shown that 3-((Trimethylsilyl)ethynyl)aniline can be produced by electroreduction from 3-chloroacetophenone and methylamine, followed by oxidation with nitric acid. The structures of 3-((trimethylsilyl)ethynyl)aniline and its products have been studied computationally through a multilayer approach. It has also been found that the nature of substituents on the aryl ring and the interfaces between different layers affect the reactivity of 3-((trimethylsilyl)ethynyl)aniline.
