Description:

1,3,5-Tribenzyl-1,3,5-triazinane is a reactive agent that can be used in the synthesis of cyclopropanes. It has been shown to have high activity for cross-coupling reactions with methides and carboxylates. The reaction can be carried out at temperatures as low as 0 °C and does not require metal ions or solvents. 1,3,5-Tribenzyl-1,3,5-triazinane has been synthetically produced by an asymmetric synthesis from 3-(trimethylsilyl)propene and has been shown to produce the desired enantiomer.
