Product Information
- 1,4-Benzoquinone dimethyl diacetal
- 3,3,6,6-Tetramethoxycyclohexa-1,4-Diene
3,3,6,6-Tetramethoxy-1,4-cyclohexadiene is a photoelectron that can be used as a catalyst in the hydrogenation of ketones. It has been shown to catalyze the reaction between potassium hydroxide and imine to form an enamine. The electron density of 3,3,6,6-tetramethoxy-1,4-cyclohexadiene has been observed using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and it was found that there were two peaks for each hydrogen atom. These peaks were attributed to the presence of a C=C double bond and a C=N double bond.
