Description:
Tris(3-methoxyphenyl)phosphine is a synthetic chemical that is soluble in organic solvents and water. It has been used as a ligand to form coordination compounds with metals. Tris(3-methoxyphenyl)phosphine has been shown to reversibly bind to dehydroabietic acid and diacid, which are diterpenes found in the saponin of the bark of the Quillaja tree. It has also been shown to react with ethanesulfonic acid and chloride, forming an unstable compound, which decomposes into dimethyl fumarate and phosphorous pentoxide.
