Description:
5,6,7,8-Tetrahydro-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyrazine is a drug that acts as an antagonist of the P2X receptor. It is used to treat osteoarthritis by blocking the transmission of pain signals through peripheral nerves and it has been shown to be effective in treating visceral pain. 5,6,7,8-Tetrahydro-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyrazine has also been shown to inhibit inflammatory pain and neuropathic pain. This drug has no effect on cyclic AMP levels or protein synthesis in nerve cells.
