Description:
4-[1,2,4]Triazol-1-yl-benzoic acid is a potent anticancer agent that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by interfering with the methionine cycle. It is a luminescent compound that can be used for the detection of cancer cells. 4-[1,2,4]Triazol-1-yl-benzoic acid has been shown to have potent inhibitory and anti-tumour activities in many different cancer cell lines. It also has an inhibitory effect on protein synthesis, which may lead to apoptosis. 4-[1,2,4]Triazol-1-yl-benzoic acid can be used as a fluorescent probe for fluorescence microscopy or as a reporter molecule in bioassays.
