Description:
2,2,2-Tribromoethyl Phosphoromorpholinochloridate is a reagent that inhibits adenylyl cyclase. It binds to the enzyme and prevents ATP from binding to the active site, thereby inhibiting the production of cAMP. This inhibition leads to a decrease in protein kinase A activity, which regulates glucose and lipid metabolism. 2,2,2-Tribromoethyl Phosphoromorpholinochloridate has been shown to inhibit adenylyl cyclases in vitro and in vivo.
