Titanium bromide is a metal halide that is produced by the reaction of titanium with the halogen bromine. Titanium bromide is a white crystalline solid that can be used as an inorganic catalyst for a variety of chemical reactions. This compound has functional groups and metal halides, which are reactive molecules that contain at least one metal atom and one halogen atom. The chloride ion, d-glucuronic acid, aldehydes, and halides are some of the products formed from titanium bromide. The rate of reaction between titanium bromide and chloride ions is fastest in acidic conditions. Titanium bromide has been shown to have photocatalytic activity when doped with other materials such as perovskite or silicon dioxide (SiO).
