Description

2-(2,2,2-Trichloroacetyl)Oxyethyl 2,2,2-Trichloroacetate is a polycarboxylic acid that inhibits the growth of bacteria. It is used as a cross-linking agent in the preparation of polymerase chain reactions and has been shown to be reactive with wild-type virus and hybridoma cell lines. 2-(2,2,2-Trichloroacetyl)Oxyethyl 2,2,2-Trichloroacetate is also used for mammalian tissue fixation and for pharmaceutical preparations. This chemical can be used in renal transplantation as a component in solutions for dialysis.
