Description:
2,2,2-Trichloroethyl acrylate is a solvent used in lithography. It is hydrophobic and soluble in organic solvents. 2,2,2-Trichloroethyl acrylate is hydrolyzed to form a polymer that becomes insoluble in water. This film has been used as a substrate for the deposition of photoresist material. The average particle size of the polymer is 200 nm. The bond cleavage reaction can be catalyzed by leukocytes and silicone compounds. Magnetic particles have also been incorporated into devices for use with this film. 2,2,2-Trichloroethyl acrylate vaporizes at temperatures up to 220°C.
