1,3,5-Triazine-2,4,6-(1H,3H,5H)-trithione trisodium salt hydrate is a hydrogen peroxide additive that reacts with thiourea to produce sodium carbonate and ammonium formate. The reaction takes place at an elevated temperature of 150°C. It is a white crystalline powder that can be used as an additive for industrial processes. 1,3,5-Triazine-2,4,6-(1H,3H,5H)-trithione trisodium salt hydrate has been patented for its use in the production of sodium carbonate and ammonium formate through a reaction between hydrogen peroxide and thiourea. This compound also exists in different polymorphs including monoclinic (M1), hexagonal (H1), or tetragonal (T1). When heated to 160°C it converts to the monoclinic polymorph M1
