Product Information
2-Triisopropylsilyloxazole is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of epilepsy. It is an analog of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and has been used as an adjunctive therapy for partial seizures, with high values in human pharmacokinetics. 2-Triisopropylsilyloxazole is a lactam, which may have antiseizure activity due to its ability to bind to GABA receptors. This drug also has been shown to inhibit the enzyme acetylcholinesterase.
2-Triisopropylsilyloxazole has been found to be efficacious in animal studies, but it requires further validation before it can be used in humans. The spectrometric method was used for quantification and showed high values for 2-triisopropylsilyloxazole concentrations in blood plasma samples from healthy volunteers.
