Description:

2-Toluenesulfonyl chloride is an organic compound that is used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It has been shown to have a protective effect against bowel disease and inflammatory bowel disease. The effects are mediated through the inhibition of pyrimidine synthesis, which suppresses epidermal growth factor expression, leading to amines and hydroxyl group production.
