1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-b-carboline-1-carboxylic acid is an organic compound that is structurally related to the neurotransmitter dopamine. It is an analog of the neurotransmitter and has been shown to act as a mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) inhibitor. This compound has been used in medicinal chemistry to create selective inhibitors for MAPKs. 1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-b-carboline-1-carboxylic acid has been shown to be effective in treating U937 cells and may have potential as a class of drugs for the treatment of cancer.
