Description:
4,5,6-Triamino-2-methylpyrimidine is a fluorescent probe that can be used to monitor the catalysis of adenosine by RNA polymerase. It has been shown to yield high fluorescence in the presence of adenosine, but is minimally active at temperatures below 45°C. The interaction between 4,5,6-Triamino-2-methylpyrimidine and adenosine is mediated by hydrogen bonding.
